Cheating Heart ©

Even though I had evidence to prove her guilt

Firm she stood on her lies and wouldn’t tilt

With marks of passion on her neck and aftershave scented sheet

Was more than enough to prove that my angel was a cheat

But still she denied; saying that my facts were lies

And how dare I accuse her of being with another guy

“But I called you on the phone, didn’t you hear it ring?”

“You couldn’t have, she said, I didn’t hear a thing!”

“I  knocked at the door and saw the silhouettes moved.”

“Stop it!” she shouted “I’ll take no more of this abuse.”

Beautiful it was at first, seemingly the perfect match

And as it ended, we both had perfect reasons to detach.
